Who We Are

At the heart of FASTx is founder and builder Kevin Fennell, a lifelong engineer, racer, and innovator with an obsession for speed, precision, and performance. What began as a passion for building cars in a small garage has evolved into a full-scale race engineering shop with a reputation for turning bold ideas into track-dominating machines.
Kevin brings over a decade of hands-on experience in motorsports fabrication, composite work, and race prep, from grassroots builds to elite-level time attack and endurance cars. Every vehicle that comes out of FASTx reflects a commitment to craftsmanship, efficiency, and functional design—no fluff, just results.
Whether it’s a championship-winning NASA car, a record-breaking Super Lap Battle car like the Black Flag Sarcoma Racing Lotus Elise, or a custom solution for a private client, Kevin leads every project with a builder’s eye and a racer’s mindset. FASTx is more than just a shop—it’s a home for those who live wide open.

Our Successes

Race Wins

Kevin (owner) was the 2018 NASA TT2 Nationals Champion. He and his lotus have won every TT event the car has finished in.

Driver Callan Spence finished 2nd at the 2025 SuperLap Battle event after setting and resetting the Unlimited track record at COTA. Callan also finished 2nd at the 2025 Leguna Seca Gridlife Festival in his SLB Elise.

Additionally, the Fastx team has had success in ChampCar Endurance racing with multiple wins and are currently leading the 2025 National Championships.

Track Records

Kevin and his Lotus hold records at Eagles Canyon, have the unofficial TT2 record at COTA and hold the fastest lap time for a VIN car at Harris Hill Raceway.

At the 2025 SuperLap Battle event, Callan Spence set, reset and then unfortunately lost the Unlimited Class Record in a purpose built Elise. However, Callan and his Elise were able to set & maintain the Track Mod class Record at the 2025 Leguna Seca Gridlife Festival this past September.
